Music Spotlight: "The Swan"

Camille Saint-Saëns ( ) wrote his Carnival of the Animals, poking fun at people, muscians, and music as a bit of fun, but was adamant that it not be published in his lifetime. He did relent, however, and allowed "The Swan" to be published in a new version with only one piano to accompany the cello. It is now a standard in any cellist's repetoire.
